Mr. Ojeda is presenting on behalf of the Summer Design Institute (SDI) at Thomas Edison CTE High School in Jamaica, Queens. SDI, designed by Danielle Ragavanis and Philip Baker, teaches design thinking to middle and high school students in New York City. SDI’s faciltation team of rising seniors and Edison alumni included Tristen Bellinger, Padma Brijmohan, Mitchell Fernandez, Tasfeer Haque, Simon Islam, Aqib Jalees, Mahibur Mahi, Sadia Riya, Amrita Singh, Kajal Singh, Umme Tahshin and Jefferson Zheng. In partnership with Beam Center’s Katherine and Kyle, SDI combined design thinking principles with workplace professionalism to prepare students for future careers.
