Alexander Poher grew up with an acute appreciation for two things: technology and education. His affection for computers began after playing Karateka on his Apple II, which quickly evolved into an early career building and repairing computers. His enthusiasm for education later manifested in a role as a special education teacher. It was during this time that the impact of education, specifically education policy, became his professional focal point. He has been with NYC Public Schools for 9 years and is currently serving as the Director of Technology Pathways for the Office of Student Pathways, working towards establishing more robust technology-centered experiences for the city’s high school students.
