Janine Knight is a New York City public school educator with 18 years of experience serving PK–5 students as a special educator, computer science teacher and trainer, library media specialist, and reading interventionist. She combines expertise in the Science of Reading and structured literacy with a passion for equitable access to technology, helping all learners—especially those with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning abilities unlock the power of reading, research, and creation. In her dual roles across the library and classroom, Janine designs engaging, project-based experiences that weave together computer science, digital fluency, and literature, while coaching colleagues to integrate these practices into their own teaching. Whether she’s guiding a child through foundational reading skills, supporting curious learners in the library, or training teachers to bring coding into core content, Janine is driven by helping all students see themselves as a confident reader, thinker, and creator.
